Preheat the oven to 400 F
Cook the gnocchi
Cook gnocchi in boiling water for 3 min or until they come to the surface. Drain and reserve.
Start cooking the sauce
Peel and mince the onion, mince the garlic. Fry them both in olive oil in a pan over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add the flour and cook 30 seconds more.
Add the liquids
Gradually add the chicken broth cube, the water and the cream and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add the cheddar and swiss cheese.
Roughly chop the prosciutto slices.
Bake the gnocchi
Pour the gnocchi into the cheese sauce and transfer it to an oven-safe dish. Disperse prosciutto over the pasta and bake for 10 minutes.
Finish the dish and serve
Mince the basil and add them to the gnocchi once served in plates. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
