Cook the rice
In a pot, bring the salted water for rice and the rice to a boil. Once the rice is boiling, cover and reduce the heat to low. Cook 15-20 min or until the water is absorbed, then remove from heat and let the rice stand covered for 5 min. Fluff lightly with a fork.
Make the sauce
Peel and mince the ginger.
In a small bowl, mix the sauce mix (maple syrup, soy sauce)*, ginger, garlic powder and sambal oelek.
Cook the pork
In a skillet, sauté the pork with sesame oil for 4 minutes over medium heat.
Add the sauce
Add the sauce to the pork, mix and remove from heat.
Prepare the vegetables
Chop the cilantro and the green onion. Small dice the carrot.
Serve the pork on a bed of rice. Sprinkle with coriander, green onion and carrot.
