Cook the pasta
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil over medium-high heat. Add pasta and cook for 10-12 min, stirring from time to time until pasta is cooked (al dente). Reserve half a cup of cooking water. Drain and reserve.
Prepare the ingredients
Mince the garlic and basil. Juice the lemon. Finely slice the bacon.
Prepare the sauce
Whisk the egg(s) and yogurt together in a bowl. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
Toast the almonds
Lightly toast the almonds in a dry non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Reserve.
Cook the bacon & ingredients
Sauté the bacon slowly in the same pan over medium-low heat. After 1 min, add garlic and continue cooking until bacon is golden and crispy, about 5 min. Add in the almonds, peas, basil and** lemon juice**.
Mix everything and serve
Pour in the egg mixture and the pasta. Toss until evenly coated, silky and creamy, adding reserved cooking water if needed. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve.
