Prepare the mashed potatoes

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Peel and cube potatoes. Cook over high heat for 20 min. Drain. Add 2 Tbsp of butter (double for 4 ppl.) and milk. Mash until smooth. Cover and set aside.

Prepare the ingredients

Mince the onion.

Trim the green beans.

In a bowl, mix the ground beef, steak spice mix, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into patties around 10cm in diameter.

Dissolve 1/2 beef broth cube (1 cube for 4 ppl.) in 1 cup of boiling water (double for 4 ppl.).

Cook the green beans

In a medium pan, add enough water to cover the green beans. Bring water to a boil and then add the green beans. Cook for 4 min. Drain, set aside and keep warm.

Keep the same pan for the beef patties.

Make the beef patties

Reheat the pan over medium-high heat and cook the beef patties for 3-4 min on each side (or until the internal temperature is 68 °C.) Remove and set aside.

Make the sauce

In the same pan, fry the onions for 5 min or until they are golden brown. Add the flour and stir for 1 min. Add the broth. Mix well and bring to a boil. Cook until the sauce has thickened, 3-4 min. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Serve

On a plate, place the mashed potatoes, the green beans, the beef patty and top with the onions and sauce.
