Cook the rice
In a small pot, bring 1 1/2 cups of water (double for 4 ppl.) and the rice to a boil. Cover, reduce the heat to low and cook for 12-14 min or until all the water has been absorbed.
Make the sauce
In a small bowl, dissolve 1/2 broth cube (1 cube for 4 ppl.) in 1/2 cup of boiling water (double for 4 ppl.).
Add the brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili sauce and 1 Tsp of cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.
Prepare the ingredients
Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes and place in a medium bowl. Add the remaining cornstarch and mix well to coat the tofu.
Chop broccoli into florets.
Cook the broccoli
Bring a little water to a boil in a medium pot. Place the broccoli in a steamer above the water and steam for 3-4 min. Keep warm.
Cook the tofu
Heat 2 Tsp of vegetable oil (doubl for 4 ppl.) in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and fry for 5 min or until it is lightly browned.
Add the sauce and serve
Add the sauce to the tofu and cook for about 4 min stirring constantly until the sauce thickens. Serve with rice and broccoli. Garnish with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
