In a pot, bring 1 1/2 cups of water (double for 4 ppl.) and rice to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, cover and simmer for 12-15 min, or until all water has been absorbed. Add the peas, the sesame oil and 1 tsp of the miso (double for 4pp), stir well and let it rest.
Season the steaks
Mix wasabi powder with 2 Tsp of water (double for 4 ppl.). Take half of the mixture and rub it onto the steaks. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Sear and cook steaks
In an oiled pan over medium high heat, cook the steaks about 3-4 minutes a side, or until desired doneness.
While the steak is cooking, cut the mushrooms in half.
Remove steaks from pan and fry mushrooms about 4 minutes.
Prepare the sauce
In a bowl, mix remaining miso, 1 Tbsp of water (double for 4 ppl.) and remaining wasabi.
Add water slowly if a more liquid sauce is desired.
Slice the steak.
Serve with the sauce, the rice and the mushrooms.
